NG Jana Best (left) presented RAK Scholarship recipient Jaycee Clark (right) with a $250.00 check prior to the El Paso RL #741 December 15, 2022, meeting. Jaycee is the daughter of JaNell and Steve Clark. Jaycee is a freshman at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. Her major is English with an emphasis on secondary education.

Another successful Toy 4 Tots toy drive and celebration dinner. 153 toys, $2,500.00 and two personal donations were made tonight. Cheryl & Danny with Cruzin’ 4 Kids joined us along with Chris from the USMC to accept the donations from our lodge. We were joined by several additional Rebekahs from around Kansas as well as family and friends. We served and enjoyed a turkey feast with all the fixins! This was our 13th year! And what a blessed success!! Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated toys, and/or made food to share. It was a wonderful evening of merriment and fellowship!

What: Toys For Tots Drive-Thru / Drop Off Event
When: October 25, 2020 11 am - 1 pm
Where: Star Lumber - 325 S. West St. - Wichita, KS

ElPaso Rebekah Lodge will participate for the 13th consecutive year. Donations and funds will be collected by the Marines and our friends at Kruz'n for Kids at this drive-through event. Please mention the lodge when you drop off your toys, and notify me of the number of toys or monetary gift so we can add it to our 13-year tally!

New unwrapped toys or cash donations will be accepted.

It is with the most profound sadness that we announce the passing of our last remaining charter member, Rajean Kanaga.

Kanaga, Rajean age 97, former co-owner Kanaga Supply, former Daylight Donut Shop, and Smith Mortuary evening hostess, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Visitation 1-8 pm Friday, August 7, with family receiving friends 5-7 pm, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 10 am Saturday, South Rock Christian Church, 900 S. Rock Rd., Derby, with burial following at El Paso Cemetery. Rajean was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; parents, Ray and Winifred McCrea; and her sister, Faye Miller. Survivors include her son, Richard (Pat); sister, Ileen Schaar; grandchildren, Lori Cline (Rodney) and Rob Kanaga (Kendra); great-grandchildren, Katie, Karlie, Reed, Hayley and Brandon. A memorial has been established with El Paso Rebekah Lodge # 741

Had nearly 30 folks join us for our 12th annual Toys For Tots toy drive tonight, including Cheryl Boyes from Cruzin for Kids/Honor Flight Brigade. We collected 243 toys and several hundred dollars to donate. SGT Santiago and fellow marine (and our special repeat guest) Chris along with his daughter and son came to celebrate and help with collecting the toys. The Rebekahs were well represented as members from six other lodges joined us. Sisters from Martha (St John), Harmony (Manhattan), Naomi (Leon), Pansy (Pratt), Greenwich and Augusta! Woo hoo! It was a great turn out, a fantastic meal, and our own record breaking donations! Cheryl let us know that the marines served over 10,000 kids in Sedgwick County last year. Our continued participation makes a huge difference every year. So proud of our sisters for all we do ❤️. We are Rebekahs!

The El Paso Rebekah Lodge #741, of Derby Kansas, celebrated their 70th Anniversary on June 6th, 2019. Special presentation was celebrated with our charter member, Rajean Kanaga. She joined the lodge at its founding in 1949. Rajean is the only remaining charter member in the State of Kansas.
Congratulations to our beloved lodge, our members and of course Rajean for 70 years of success and community service.
