Good morning, City of De Ridder and Beauregard Parish. It is Su***de Awareness and Prevention month. We began raising awareness on September 1st by presenting the You Matter su***de prevention campaign posters to participating partnerships and businesses throughout the area. There are several ways to participate in the campaign throughout the month.
1) Message me for a you matter campaign poster to be displayed in your business, school, etc.
2) If allowed as some businesses did the previous year, paint your storefront or business window in the colors of teal/purple (representing su***de awareness colors) with the caption You Matter.
3) Take a photo of your painting, or you with the You Matter Campaign poster and post it to social media using the hashtag . Don't forget to tag the Beauregard Prevention Coalition page.
As a bonus, if you don't want to wait for me to bring you a poster, I have uploaded the You Matter Campaign posters here to this post. Feel free to download and print it. They are 11-1/2 by 17. Additionally, if you plan to paint your window, you can use what either of these posters looks like to paint your window.
September 10, 2026, Is World Su***de Prevention Day. We would love for you to participate by wearing teal/purple in support of a loved one or supporting someone who has lost someone who has died by su***de. Tag us in the photo and remember the hashtag .
