Please join the in congratulating Warden James Dycus and the outstanding staff at the Delta Regional Unit on their recent American Correctional Association reaccreditation audit. Below are the scores for the audit:
100% on mandatory standards and best practices
99.5% on non-mandatory standards and best practices
The auditors bragged on the cleanliness of the facilities and the knowledge of the staff. They discussed how staff answered questions professionally and immediately responded to their needs.
Great Audit DELTA!!!
Also, thank you to Warden Michelle Gray for guiding the ship for the majority of the audit period

INCLEMENT WEATHER ALERT:
Alert sent 01/25/2026: Due to the ongoing winter storm and its effect on road conditions, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has closed state office buildings except critical operations Monday, January 26th, 2026.
State employees who can telework should do so, and agencies may implement liberal leave policies for their employees who cannot telework.
Critical Need Employees (uniformed security and other personnel identified as being essential for unit operations) are required to report as normal. Non-security essential personnel need to contact their Warden/Supervisor for instruction.
If a non-critical need employee is unable to work remotely, you may submit inclement weather leave in EASE.

The Arkansas Department of Corrections will soon be transitioning to coins and debit/credit cards only for visitors, change machines will be available in the entrance building of all facilities. Effective dates vary for each unit, please contact the unit for further information.

🚨❄️ Warming Centers Open! Stay safe and out of the cold.
With temperatures forecasted to drop below freezing this week, three warming centers in Little Rock are open to provide a safe place out of the cold.
- West Central Community Center
8616 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
- Southwest Community Center
6401 Baseline Road, Little Rock, AR
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
- Dunbar Community Center
1001 W 16th St, Little Rock, AR
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
*Emergency overnight shelter open Monday from 6 p.m.- 9 a.m. Tuesday*
All three centers are pet-friendly.

UPDATE: November 20, 2025- inmate Wayne Schutz is back in custody.

On Tuesday, November 18, inmate Wayne Schutz, #180381, was found missing from his work release assignment from Prospect Steel at the Port of Little Rock earlier this afternoon.
Schutz is suspected to possibly have fled in a 2015 White Dodge pickup, license plate number 1DYXN. He is currently being housed at the Benton Work Release Unit and is serving an eight-year sentence for breaking and entering out of Faulkner County.
Anyone with information about inmate Schutz’s whereabouts should contact local law enforcement immediately.
The Division of Correction and the Division of Community Correction are working with local, state and federal law enforcement to follow leads.
