Community Caregivers of Greater Derry (CCGD) has received a check for $106,241.54 as the featured charity partner of a charitable gaming run at Revo Casino and Social House in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Under New Hampshire's charitable gaming program, a portion of casino revenues during a designated run is donated to the featured nonprofit, giving organizations like Community Caregivers of Greater Derry a meaningful way to raise funds while the community enjoys an evening of gaming, dining, and entertainment.
Community Caregivers of Greater Derry's mission is enriching lives and supporting individuals to remain independent through a compassionate volunteer community. The organization connects volunteers with older adults and residents living with disabilities across seven towns in southern New Hampshire who need help with transportation, light chores, companionship, and durable medical equipment (state-wide).
The funding will help CCGD grow a historically part-time role into a full-time position with benefits, strengthening the organization's workflow, operations, and donor cultivation capacity.
"Our relationship started in 2006 in a small hall near CMC and has blossomed into a partnership worth tens of thousands of dollars in much needed revenue each year. This year alone, one of our founding towns pulled their human service dollars for FY26-27 due to a default budget and another long-time stakeholder cut their funding by nearly half due to restructuring. Gambling dollars will fill the gap for this year, so we did not have to make budget cuts," said Cindee Tanuma, Executive Director of Community Caregivers of Greater Derry.
