He is trained and certified in Narcotics Detection, Article Search, Apprehension, Tracking, Patrol and Handler Protection. Blade has been with the Derry Borough Police Dept. as an officer since 2008. He is a great asset to the Borough, its residents, and his fellow Officers. This page was set up to help offset some of the costs involved with being a K-9 Officer, and a K-9 Officer's Handler. There

is always equipment that needs replaced or updated, there is no Medical coverage for the K-9 so everything he may need is either donated, or paid for personally by the handler. Vehicles need to be upfitted to handle a K-9 kennell, and vehicles need replaced. We are hoping to bring awareness not only to Blades need, but the needs of ALL K-9's!
