The National Hurricane Center forecasts that Tropical Depression Two will impact the northern Gulf of America this week. At this time, we could at least see minor impacts such as elevated rain chances and unsettled marine conditions Monday through Wednesday. Tropical Storm Force winds and Elevated Tides are also possible on Wednesday.

Now is the time to prepare your property for heavy rains. Please ensure that items on your property that can become projectiles or float into drainage are secure, swales and ditches are clear, and if you have a catch basin please clean any debris from the top of it.

The National Hurricane Center now gives the Gulf disturbance a high chance of formation. Residents in Louisiana and Mississippi are likely to go under Tropical Storm Watches or Warnings soon.
