As we enjoy this Memorial Day weekend, we want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday as we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and our freedoms. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

The Prairie County Sheriff's Office will have additional deputies patrolling our roadways conducting traffic enforcement operations to help ensure safe travels across our county. Please remember to buckle up, slow down and don't text and drive. If you choose to indulge in a few adult beverages, remember to do so responsibly and DON'T 🚫 drink and drive!!!

We are looking for help from the public. We are working on a project to preserve the history of our Sheriff's Office.
We have been on a mission to collect pictures of every Prairie County Sheriff for public display. We have worked with the Historical Society & libraries to collect some, and family members have also provided some pictures. We are asking for anyone that has a picture of a past Prairie County Sheriff to contact us. Pictures can be messaged through Facebook messenger, or brought to the Sheriff's Office so we can scan and return it.
Some of the pictures we currently have can be found in this post, and throughout our page.

EMS encompasses more than just lights and sirens; it involves early mornings, extended nights, missed meals, challenging calls, and unwavering dedication. Every patient interaction is significant. Every calm voice matters. Every response counts.

Happy EMS Week to all EMS personnel, dispatchers, educators, transfer staff, 911 operators, and everyone who shows up daily, regardless of the shift's difficulty. ❤️💙
