First 429 Flight ✅🚨

LF3 officially took the new helicopter up into the skies for its maiden voyage this evening!

We cannot wait to continue to serve all the communities in need. This is just the beginning of bigger, better, and faster patient transports! 🤍

Okay but look at that ambulance 😍

We are so happy to welcome this beautiful rig to our team! This beautiful rig belongs to our Pediatric Transport team and NICU team!

Did you know that our Peds/NICU Team is not only available in the sky, but also by ground? This team is truly amazing and always going above and beyond for their patients and their family!

Whether it’s by ground or sky, our team is always on the move to serve the neonatal and pediatric patients all over the state of Iowa. And trust me… they get some miles on them 🙌🏼 (averaging more than 50,000 miles a year!)

The amazing skill, talent, dedication and knowledge this team is truly remarkable!

This truck is packed with state of the art equipment to best serve your little ones with the best care possible. A PICU/NICU on wheels! 🤍 Special lighting creating a galaxy ceiling on the inside to help bring comfort to all patients as well!

LifeFlight is excited to introduce the newest member of the fleet - the Bell 429 🚁

She's got the looks, the speed, the technology, and the performance to back it all up—and she's ready to help our crews do what they do best: save lives.

This helicopter is more than just a new aircraft—it's an investment in our communities, our patients, and the dedicated pilots, clinicians, and support teams who answer the call every day.

Our first Bell 429 arrived in Audubon and is on track to hopefully start patient flights by the end of the week! (Tentatively)🤞🏽 Fort Dodge is on track for October, and DesMoines hopefully by the end of the year! (All tentative) tail numbers are still being completed for the bases.

Happy 4th of July from all of us here at LifeFlight! 🇺🇸

As our communities gather to celebrate freedom and community this Independence Day, our mission remains exactly the same: to provide critical, lifesaving care when seconds count.
