Today we release the American Lung Association’s 2026 “State of the Air” report, and the findings are clear: too many children - nearly half - are growing up breathing unhealthy air.

Despite decades of progress, 152 million people of all ages still live in areas with unhealthy levels of ozone or particle pollution. Recent EPA rollbacks will result in even more pollution in the air we breathe.

This Earth Day, join us in calling on EPA to protect the health of every child.

SF 2480 adds a 5-cent tax on va**ng and ni****ne products while leaving cigarettes—the leading cause of cancer—untouched. To effectively improve public health, Iowa lawmakers must address the taxation of all to***co products the same. Research shows the most effective way to reduce use—especially among young people—is through a significant price increase.

SF 2480 doesn’t meet the moment.
