Recently I went with my team to compete in 3rd BDE Boards. People ask if I like going. Well… no one likes spending extra hours studying in a busy schedule. Definitely no one likes being put on the spot saying the creeds with the fear of messing up.

But I do this because the Army says so IAW DA Pam 600-25 and USAREC Pam 600-25.

And… the lessons I learn in the process of preparing and building relationships with like minded NCOs is priceless.

Try it on for size. You might mess up. But you’ll come out a little better than yesterday.

Proud moment as a 1SG when your team operates independently and self sustained. When I am not needed, I know that my team is well trained. 3 out of 4 stations completed their mission both sides amidst ever-changing processes and uncertainty. Goal: irrelevant but not insignificant.
