Last Friday, the Des Plaines Fire Department honored nearly 71 years of service as Fire Station 62 officially closed its doors. Generations of Des Plaines firefighters answered thousands of calls from this station, building a legacy of dedication, service, and community. During construction, Engine 62 and Ambulance 62 will operate out of Rosemont Station 2, with response times remaining unaffected thanks to careful planning. Thank you to all who have served and supported Station 62.
