Algonquin Road is now open between Lee and Center Street.

The City of Des Plaines has closed Algonquin Road between Lee Street and Center Street due to a water main break. At this time, City crews do not have an estimated time for the road to reopen. Water service in the area remains uninterrupted. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area. Updates will be posted on social media and the City’s website.

After an exhausting run this little Frenchie decided to relax with some much needed pets with our officers at the station.

This male cutie patootie was found in the 1500 Block of Oxford Road and unfortunately, does not have an active chip. He will be taken to Golf Rose Animal Services
