We’re excited to partner with Laufey and her global Laufey Book Club to release a limited-edition library card ahead of Library Card Sign-Up Month in September and in celebration of A Very Laufey Day on August 23rd!⁠

Thank you to everyone who attended our History Huddles at the Des Plaines Public Library this summer. Kids explored history and celebrated America's 250th through hands-on crafts and activities.

Kids made their own Play-Doh wax seals, planted pipe cleaner flowers to learn about Victorian flower language, pithed George Washington's Revolutionary War tent, and sculpted the Statue of Liberty.
