This week, voters across Illinois’ 8th District made their voices heard.
While this wasn’t the outcome we had hoped for, I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported this campaign and believed in what we built together.
This campaign was never just about an election. It was about people.
Neighbors talking to neighbors.
Volunteers knocking on doors.
Conversations in living rooms, community centers, and coffee shops about how we build a better future together.
We ran on a simple idea: that people want commonsense solutions, real leadership, and a government that works for them—not special interests.
Those values don’t change.
And neither does the movement we built together.
I am incredibly proud of this campaign—rooted in integrity, vision, ideas, and bringing people together.
Thank you for sharing your perspectives and ideas. Talking to thousands of voters was truly the highlight of this campaign for me.
Thank you to every volunteer, supporter, and voter who stood with us.
I am especially grateful to my family, my three sons, and to the spirit of my parents, whose belief in the American Dream continues to guide me every day.
This may be the end of this campaign—but it is not the end of the work.
Let’s stay engaged. Let’s stay hopeful. Let’s keep building.
