The school year may be over for most districts, but the need for resources and information to protect and advocate for our students and families of immigrant backgrounds remains all year round, as does our commitment to providing them. Our ever-growing bank of resources is always available for educators and families on our website.

Being bilingual is such a gift!

So true!

So true!

"When a child grows up with two languages, they’re not splitting their ability in half," writes bilingual TEFL & CLIL certified teacher Chloe Efrosini of Bright Minds. 🌍✨

"They’re building cognitive flexibility.
They’re learning to switch, adapt, and think in more than one framework.
They’re developing empathy through culture and perspective.

Language mixing? Normal.
Silent periods? Normal.
Progress that doesn’t look linear? Also normal.

Bilingualism is not pressure.

It’s potential.

And with consistency, that potential turns into confidence."

Being bilingual is an asset in so many ways!

👇🏿👇🏾👇🏽👇🏼👇🏻DID YOU KNOW?!

"Young adults who are balanced bilinguals are more likely to secure full-time jobs and earn thousands of dollars more each year than those who only speak English.

Bilingual skills are not just about communication—they’re an investment in brighter futures.

It’s time to value multilingualism as a strength in both classrooms and careers."

“Because of all the bureaucracy and external pressure, being an educator of multilingual learners can feel overwhelming,” writes Valentina Gonzalez of Rooted Linguistics.

“Staying focused on the students and what they need helps us to accomplish our goals as their teachers.

They need educators who believe in them and see their strengths.

They need instruction in every classroom that integrates language and content.

They need cheerleaders who will celebrate their accomplishments big and small along the way.

They need advocates will stand up for their rights, who will fight for what is best, and help pave a path toward success.

They need to see themselves and their experiences in the books and resources throughout the school helping them to feel seen and understood.

They need to belong…in the classroom, school, and community through friendship and clubs or sports and other activities. This sense of connection gives them confidence making them WANT to come to school.

They need YOU. ♥️🙏🏽🌎”
