The City of Desloge would like to notify residents that Highley Lane will be closed today, Thursday, August 27, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM due to a water leak.

📍 Closure: Highley Lane from Hawthorne Street to West Street
➡️ Detour: Please use Fairview Lane

City crews will be working to repair the water leak. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this work is completed.

Please plan accordingly and use the designated detour. 🚧💧

The City of Desloge would like to remind all businesses operating within the City that business licenses were due for renewal on July 1, 2026.

If you have not yet renewed your business license, please do so as soon as possible. Delinquent licenses may be subject to penalties.

If your water bill is currently past due, please make arrangements to bring your account paid in full as soon as possible to avoid interruption of service.

📢 COMMUNITY TOWN HALL MEETING – DATA CENTERS

The City of Desloge will host a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the North County Middle School Auditorium.

The Board of Aldermen is currently considering whether to adopt an ordinance regarding data centers within the City of Desloge. At this time, the Board is neither for nor against data centers.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide our citizens with an opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and hear factual information from individuals with experience and knowledge regarding data centers, including their potential impacts on water, air quality, infrastructure, energy, and our community.

The Board believes it is important to make an informed decision based on facts and reliable information—not hearsay or speculation. Citizen input will be an important part of this process.

A HUGE thank you to Farmington Rural King for their generous donation of dog and cat food to the Desloge Pound! 🐾

Donations like this truly help more than you know. Keeping all of the hungry bellies fed while they wait to be reunited with their families or find their forever homes takes a lot of food, and every donation makes a difference!

We are so thankful to have businesses in our community willing to step up and support the animals in our care. ❤️

Desloge’s dog pound will get a mural and fresh paint through donated supplies and local artists. The facility is seeking more paint and brushes for the project.

Just a friendly reminder that McDonald’s is hosting a fundraiser for the Desloge Dog Pound on August 20th! ❤️

So basically… we’re giving you permission to skip cooking, ignore the dishes, and let McDonald’s handle dinner! 😂

🍟 Get the large fries — the dogs said it’s fine
🥤 Add the drink
🍦 And you might as well get the ice cream… if the machine is working. 😂

Come out, grab some dinner, and help support the animals at the Desloge Dog Pound at the same time! 🐾

The City of Desloge Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce that facility reservations and league registrations can now be made online! To reserve a pavilion, go to https://desloge.recdesk.com/Community/Home, click on Facilities, and select the pavilion you would like to reserve. You will be prompted to create an account to finalize your reservation.

As always, we will still gladly take your reservation at City Hall. Reservations for calendar year 2027 will open on January 4th, 2027.
