🐾 UPDATE ON THE MISSING FEMALE GERMAN SHEPHERD 🐾

We still haven’t been able to bring her home, but she was spotted again this morning on Adams Road. Her owner plans to fly a drone this evening to help search, and we’ve set a large dog trap in hopes of safely catching her.

Thank you to everyone who has kept an eye out, called in sightings, and shared our posts. Please continue sharing and watching for her! ❤️

⚠️ If you see her, please DO NOT approach or chase her. She is very scared and keeps running when people try to get close.

Please call Desloge Animal Control at 573-430-8382 right away. If you can, keep her in sight from a distance and let us know her location and which direction she’s heading.

Thank you for helping us get her home safely! 🐾❤️

A big THANK YOU to the Park guys for coming over and helping me fix up my little makeshift dog run! 🐾❤️ It may not be fancy, but it works—and it gives the dogs a place to stretch their legs, run, and play so they don’t have to be cooped up inside all the time.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to help and all the support for our pound pups. Every little bit makes a difference!

🐾 A little more room for our dogs! 🐾

I’ve been pondering the idea of extending our fence at Desloge Animal Control and adding more outdoor dog runs. I’d love for our dogs to have more opportunities to enjoy fresh air, stretch their legs, and play instead of spending so much time cooped up inside while waiting for their forever homes. ❤️

This is still in the idea stage! If you have suggestions to share or would like to support this project, please give me a call at

Thank you for caring about our dogs and supporting the work we do! 🐶🐾

🐾💙 Meet Athena! 🤎🐾

Athena is only 8 months old and looking for a fresh start. She was left with an elderly woman who couldn’t care for her and was surrendered through no fault of her own.

We believe she’s a German Shepherd mix, with two beautiful, different-colored eyes! 😍 She’s a little scared at first but very sweet. She seems to do well around people and cats. We don’t yet know how she does with other dogs, since we currently have no others at the pound.

She may be pregnant, but this has not been confirmed. She has a vet appointment tomorrow for a checkup.

The adopter is responsible for her rabies vaccination and scheduling an appointment to have her spayed. The rabies vaccination costs $25 and will be booked through me. Spay timing will depend on the veterinarian’s recommendation.

- Available for adoption: October 19, 2026
🚨 Must be out by October 26, 2026

Athena is still a puppy herself and deserves a loving home where she can feel safe. ❤️ Contact Desloge Animal Control if you’re interested, and please share to help her find her forever family
