Greeting from Fire Chief Ochoa. As I begin my third year as the Fire Chief of the City of De Soto, I wanted to share some things.

First, I wanted to thank the Citizens and Businesses of the city for their continued support. It has been a couple of years of rebuilding and making this department move forward. We still have a lot of work to do.

Second, I want to thank my team of firefighters for putting in their time and effort to make us a better department. There are some who don't believe in us or don't like the direction we are going and that is ok. We will continue to push forward regardless to give our citizens the best service they deserve to have.

We continue to train and work with surrounding Fire Departments to reach a common goal of saving life and property.

As we approach the anniversary of 9/11, let us remember those who sacrificed their lives to save others in that historical tragedy.

Please remember all past and present military and first responders who serve today and those who have given their lives to save others.

Please feel free to visit our Fire Department and always, if you need us, we are just phone call away.

God Bless and stay safe...

Chief Tony Ochoa
Retired USAF
