The most neighborly time of the year is quickly approaching… drum roll, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! 🥁
Good Neighbor Day is September 28, 2026! 💙
To celebrate, Councilmembers will recognize one outstanding individual from each place who exemplifies what it means to be a great neighbor in one of three categories:
🤝 Lends a Helping Hand
Someone who goes above and beyond to help others through acts of service, volunteering, or simply being there when a neighbor needs them.
🏘️ Brings the Community Together
Someone who builds relationships, creates connections, organizes activities, welcomes new neighbors, or helps make their community safer and more connected.
💐 Spreads Kindness
Someone whose compassion and generosity make a difference, whether through thoughtful gestures, supporting neighbors, or simply brightening someone’s day.
Good Neighbors from each place will be recognized at the Monday, September 14, 2026 Special City Council Meeting.
