⚽️🇺🇸 De Soto Soccer started off the World Cup with a BANG at JC Culwell Stadium last night! This is our culture, and we absolutely LOVE IT.

Team USA kicked off the tournament in explosive fashion with a 4-1 victory over Paraguay!

A special shoutout to De Soto High School for allowing us to use their incredible facility, and to JC Rotter for donating his time to help make the night possible.

What an awesome atmosphere and an even better way to come together as a soccer community! ⚽️🧡

De Soto Soccer Club wrapped up another fantastic select season this weekend in Cape Girardeau for the Cape Spring Southern Shootout!

Our 3rd & 4th grade girls team brought home first place, while our 1st & 2nd grade team and 7th & 8th grade team both earned second place!🥇🥈

We are incredibly proud of all of our players and coaches and love seeing De Soto Soccer Club continue to compete, grow, and represent our town so well all season long! ⚽

We would also like to recognize some very special 8th graders as they hang up their orange jerseys one final time tonight. These athletes have spent years representing De Soto Soccer Club; dedicating countless hours to practices, games, tournaments, and building friendships that will last far beyond the soccer field.

They have been tremendous teammates, leaders, and role models for our younger players, and we are so proud of the young people they have become. Thank you for your commitment, heart, and the memories you have helped create throughout the years.

Once a part of De Soto Soccer Club, ALWAYS a part of the De Soto Soccer Club family. We wish our 8th graders the very best in their next chapter! ⚽🧡

On Saturday our U17 earned themselves a nice 4:3 win over United STL Top Classic followed by a Sunday U19 win 5:1 over SLSG Premier.

De Soto Soccer Club headed to Perryville this weekend for The Bank of Missouri Spring Classic, and it was another fantastic weekend of soccer!

The weather was perfect again, and our teams represented De Soto well all weekend long. Our 1st & 2nd grade team brought home another first place finish, while our 3rd & 4th grade girls team, 5th & 6th grade team, and 7th & 8th grade team all earned second place! 🥇🥈

Weekends like this are what make soccer so much fun! Countless memories are being made with great competition, beautiful weather, time spent with teammates and families, and watching these players continue to grow together. We are proud of all of our teams and love seeing De Soto Soccer Club represented so well both on and off the field! ⚽️⭐️

De Soto Soccer Club traveled to Jackson this weekend for their Spring Classic Tournament.

With seven teams competing, THREE brought home first place! Huge congratulations to our undefeated 1st & 2nd grade team, undefeated 3rd & 4th grade team, and our 5th & 6th grade team! 🏆🥇

We had beautiful weather, great competition, and incredible soccer all weekend long.
Way to represent, De Soto! ⚽️

“The secret is not the tactics, but the players and their desire to learn.” – Pep Guardiola

That’s exactly what defined this U12 SLYSA season.

It was about a group of boys who showed up every week ready to learn, compete, and push themselves all for the crest on the front of their jersey. You could see the growth; on the ball, off the ball, and in how they handled adversity.

Wins came. Losses came. But more importantly, progress came.

They asked questions. They adjusted. They got better.

Proud of this group and the work they’ve put in.

A special thanks to Kyle Milfeld and Colby Johnson for the time dedicated to coaching these young men.

A huge thanks to the parents that came and layered the sidelines for these players.

To quote Coach Milfeld's final words to his team, "there is still work to be done".
