‼️DeSoto Police Arrest Convicted Felon After Firearm Discovery‼️

DeSoto, TX - On Saturday, August 29, 2026, at approximately 9:15 p.m., DeSoto Police (Delta Shift) officers responded to a 911 hang-up call near the 800 block of E. Pleasant Run Road. While checking an apartment-complex parking lot to determine the source of the call, officers contacted an adult male seated in a gray Nissan sedan. The vehicle was unlawfully parked, and loud music was coming from inside the passenger compartment. As officers approached, they observed an unholstered AR-style pistol on the front passenger-side floorboard.

Officers detained the man and identified him as 23-year-old Amyrion Damon Harris of Dallas. A records check confirmed that Harris is a convicted felon and legally prohibited from possessing a firearm. Officers also reportedly found approximately 1.6 ounces of ma*****na in his possession. Harris was arrested and charged with “Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon” and “Possession of Marijuana”.

🚨SUSPECT ARRESTED FOLLOWING ROAD-RAGE SHOOTING🚨

DeSoto, TX - On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., DeSoto Police officers (Bravo Shift) responded to a reported road-rage incident and firearm in the 400 block of North Hampton Road.

The 24-year-old pregnant woman told officers that a man driving a gray Honda Accord became upset after he was not able to merge in front of her vehicle near the Parkerville Road intersection. He then allegedly followed her vehicle before pulling alongside it, pointing a handgun and firing one round. The victim was not injured; however, her vehicle was struck by the bullet near the 400 block of North Hampton Road.

The victim provided officers with a description of the suspect, the vehicle, and the suspect’s last known location, believed to be in the 1000 block of North Hampton Road.

Officers searched the surrounding area and located the suspect vehicle in the 300 block of Hanna Avenue. Officers observed a person matching the suspect’s description and gave the man commands to stop, but he refused and fled on foot.

⭐Officers safely apprehended the suspect following a brief foot pursuit. Two handguns were located inside the suspect vehicle.

The suspect was identified as 28-year-old, KEENAN MONTREY FOREMAN of Dallas. He was arrested and charged with:

❌Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
❌Evading on Foot

⭐The department commends Bravo Shift personnel for their quick response and effective investigation. We also recognize the victim for providing timely and actionable information that assisted officers in locating and apprehending the suspect.

‼️Police Release Images, Seek Help Identifying Robbery Suspects‼️

DeSoto, TX – DeSoto Police are seeking the public’s assistance regarding a robbery that occurred around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, in the 700 block of E. Pleasant Run Road during a Facebook Marketplace exchange.

The victim reported being robbed at gunpoint by three unknown suspects. One suspect is described as a thin Black male with dreadlocks, wearing a black beanie/ski mask, light gray long-sleeve shirt, and checkered pajama pants. The other two suspects wore a black hoodie and a yellow hoodie.

The suspects stole the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered abandoned nearby. At this time, the incident appears to be isolated. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further information is available for release.

⭐Anyone with information that may help identify the individual pictured or his accomplices is asked to contact DeSoto Police detectives at 469-658-3050.

DeSoto Police Department warns residents about scams involving cryptocurrency, QR codes, and crypto ATMs.

Scammers may pressure you to send money for:

❌Court fines or jury duty
❌An online romantic partner
❌An investment opportunity
❌A family member supposedly in jail
❌A fake customer-service representative
❌They may send a QR code or instruct you to use a cryptocurrency ATM. Legitimate government agencies, courts, law enforcement, and reputable businesses will not demand payment through cryptocurrency or ask you to scan an unsolicited QR code.

PROTECT YOURSELF:

1️⃣Do not send cryptocurrency because of an unexpected call, text, email, or social-media message.
2️⃣Do not scan suspicious QR codes or share wallet information, passwords, or verification codes.
3️⃣Stop and independently verify the request using an official phone number.
4️⃣Do not allow anyone to rush or threaten you into making a payment.
5️⃣If you have already sent money, contact your financial institution immediately and report the incident.

🚨DESOTO POLICE ARREST LANCASTER MAN FOLLOWING STORE ROBBERY AND RAZOR ATTACK🚔

DeSoto, TX — On Monday night, August 17, 2026, at approximately 10:25 p.m., DeSoto Police (Charlie Shift) responded to a major disturbance at a convenience store in the 1500 block of the North I-35E frontage road.

A caller reported that she was leaving the parking lot when she witnessed several people fighting near the storefront. Upon arrival, officers observed several individuals in the parking lot, including a man suffering from heavy bleeding to his right hand.

Witnesses identified the injured man as the alleged offender, 36-year-old Willie James Richardson III, of Lancaster. Officers detained Richardson and arranged for him to receive medical treatment for his injury.

According to witnesses, Richardson allegedly stole several items from inside the store. When confronted in the parking lot by a store clerk, Richardson attempted to assault the clerk and a customer who intervened after witnessing the confrontation.

Richardson then retrieved a razor from his vehicle and attacked both individuals, causing minor defensive injuries. During the incident, Richardson also cut himself with the razor and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Richardson is charged with Aggravated Robbery.

⭐ DeSoto Police Department thanks the citizens who promptly reported the disturbance and provided valuable information to dispatch and to the officers at the scene.

‼️DESOTO POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL SHOOTING‼️

DeSoto, TX – On Sunday, August 16, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m. police (Bravo Shift) responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Sequoia Court after a witness called 911 to report that someone inside the home had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers located several individuals inside the residence, including an 18-year-old male victim who had sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest. Officers provided first aid until DeSoto Fire Rescue personnel arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

An 18-year-old male was detained at the scene and is believed to be the shooter. The individual is not related to the victim.

The investigation remains ongoing. No additional details will be released at this time while the victim’s next of kin are being notified. This was an isolated incident, and there is no immediate threat to the public. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
