College and university scholars created a word cloud during reintroductions in a round group meeting. The scholars were gathered with their benefactor organization during winter break. The scholarship sponsor wisely gathers the group together several times a year to take temperatures and offer wisdom and inspiration. Each day during the full year since Steve Geske’s “walk on”, I have thought of him. As I presumed just after his death, what I learned to know of him and the countless hours of time we spent with each other, continue to pricelessly serve me. His gifts of intellectual depth, spiritual adventure and maturity, relationship with nature, richness of conversation and limitlessly loyal friendship sustain and strengthen me and are central to a foundation for hope in my life.
