It has been with great honor and privilege to serve and continue to serve on the Detroit Lakes School Board. I have had the opportunity to work with great administration, fellow colleagues, and an outstanding community that is second to none.

I am writing this to inform the public that I have chosen not to seek re-election to the board of education. I am planning on moving in the coming months for work and do not want to stand in the way of a great candidate from fulfilling the duties. I want to thank all of my supporters that have faithfully believed in me and supported me through this journey. I plan on continuing my involment with the school district and look forward to what’s ahead. GO LAKERS!

This is a great opportunity and the first of its kind for Detroit Lakes! We want to ensure that ALL staff members, even substitutes are fully prepared for the classroom.

It's not too late! Join us for our first Substitute Solutions Seminar aimed at supporting our substitute teachers. This session will focus on the basic needs of subbing. We will also discuss which other topics we should cover in future sessions occurring regularly throughout the year.

The first session will be at Laker Transitions Building on October 2nd from 3:45 to 4:45.

This morning, there was a ribbon cutting for the inaugural year of Project SEARCH. Thank you to Essentia Health Detroit Lakes, Becker County, and Vocational Rehabilitation for partnering with the Detroit Lakes Public Schools to offer this tremendous opportunity to our student interns!
