Becker County 4-H had a great week at the Minnesota State Fair Livestock Encampment. All of the 4-H'ers did a fantastic job at their livestock shows! We are very proud of all of you and the hard work that you put in throughout the year. A HUGE congratulations goes out to the 4-H members that won Grand Champion (Purple Ribbon) at their shows. We celebrated our 4-H Summer Intern, Allison, on her last day a couple weeks ago! It was another successful summer with even more youth engaging in 4-H throughout the county than last summer! Along with assisting and/or leading over 15 programs/events here is a look at the numbers Allison produced over the summer. From everyone in Becker County 4-H, we can't thank you enough!

Calling youth exhibitors! Come to the State Fair Livestock Exhibitor Get Together on Wednesday, August 26th from 2-3 p.m!

Why should you attend?
- Get to know other 4-H youth
- Review specific species information
- Walking tour of important locations
- Ask questions and learn from experienced 4-H exhibitors!

Open to all 4-H exhibitors but geared for:
- Three or less years of experience at State Fair
- Exhibitors showing a new species
- Exhibitors with small county delegations

Hosted by the 4-H Animal Science Ambassador Team. Location at the White tent between Christensen Pavilion & Como Avenue.

Reminder! All 4-H’ers that will exhibit livestock at the Minnesota State Fair (except dairy) are required to participate in an online livestock interview process. Youth are able to complete their interview online anytime between now and Aug. 25 at 6 p.m.

The Becker County 4-H Livestock Committee has partnered with Sunnyside Assisted Living Center to provide their residents with a petting zoo again this year. We will be at Sunnyside Care Center at 6:00pm on August 13th. Contact Elliott at [email protected] for any questions. All animals but poultry are invited.
