COVID-19 and Erie Township Meetings.

Erie Township will be adhering to CDC guidelines, the MN Governor's STAY-AT-HOME Order, and advice from the MN association of townships.

We will conduct business of the township via teleconferencing: those who have business with the township will contact the Clerk or a Supervisor, the information will be distributed to the board for discussion and/or action during the teleconference. The town hall is closed to all non-essential persons at this time. Minutes from the teleconference will be published on the website once approved by the board.

We want to thank you for your understanding during these difficult times. Once it has been determined that township business can resume public gathering, we will post it on the website.

Please take note, that the regular board meeting of the Township Board of Supervisors are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Erie Town Hall located on Hwy 34 East, Detroit Lakes, MN, unless noted with an * below.

2020 Reorganizational Meeting UPDATE
The reorganizational meeting scheduled for Monday night the 23rd of March will be held as scheduled.
In view of the current events associated with the pandemic and in accordance with the guidelines from the CDC, those who wish to attend the meeting will be asked to comply with the precautions set forth when entering the hall – mainly in keeping a distance of six feet between each other. Due to the size of the hall, seating may be limited. The reorganizational meeting, as opposed to a regular meeting follows the set agenda only with no additions.

Upcoming regular meetings
As of now, these will remain the same also limiting the meeting to just those items of the highest priority and paying bills.
There are statute provisions to change the meeting and/or the form of the meeting in cases of emergency which include a pandemic. The town board of supervisors reserve the right to do this as needed.

Any questions can be directed to the clerk or to one of the supervisors.
