Frontier International Academy (situated in the old and historic St. Florian Catholic High School) is located in Hamtramck, Michigan. It opened to students in 2005 and serves students 9th through 12th grade (high school). Frontier International Academy is a public school academy that adheres to all mandated regulations of the Michigan Department of Education. Florian High School to it's new, perma

nent location on Conant St. We have more space, more autonomy, and more students! Our school prides itself on strong character education, an excellent group of certified teachers, a curriculum that exceeds Michigan standards, small class sizes, and a family-like environment. Frontier International Academy also has a strong ELL department that helps newcomers. The school offers Arabic as a foreign language, a full day kindergarten, advanced classes, and a required dress code.

Earlier this week, Mayor Adam Alharbi visited Wayne County Community College to continue ongoing discussions exploring the opportunity to open a college campus right here in Hamtramck.

During the visit, the Mayor met with college leadership, including Chancellor Dr. Curtis L. Ivery, Senior Vice Chancellor Board of Trustees Furquan Ahmed, Trustee and Treasurer Asm Kamal Rahman, and toured the Downtown facilities alongside Principal Mohammad Alsanai (from Frontier International Academy) and Dr. Hussain.
