A room full of graduates, a future full of possibility. 🎓 We recently gathered to celebrate residents who reached major milestones. Mauriah, Malekhi, and Adrian earned their high school diplomas. Davion and Isaiah earned their GEDs. Lehanna became a certified nursing assistant, and Patience earned her phlebotomy certification.

Every diploma, every certification, every moment of hard work brings our young people closer to independence and stability.

Spreading the word about our mission, one room at a time. 🧡

Recently, Melissa Hardy, our Annual Campaign Manager, spoke at a Business Networking for Good event hosted by The Creative Society at Chief Financial CU's Community Space in Rochester Hills. She shared the mission of Covenant House Michigan with over 20 local business leaders and concerned community members.

We cannot do this life-changing work alone. It truly takes a village.

The final curtain has closed on A Night of Detroit Stars, and we are still inspired. 🎭✨

Nearly 300 guests joined us at the Sound Board Theater for an unforgettable evening of music, community, and hope. With the support of 35 generous sponsors, we raised an incredible $343,000 for youth overcoming homelessness in Detroit and Grand Rapids.

Every dollar, every ticket, every moment of applause helps our young people find shelter, stability, and a future they can believe in.

Thank you to our performers, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and everyone who filled the theater with heart. You made this night possible.

A lasting impact on our campus. 🌳

Deloitte volunteers spent their Impact Day at Covenant House Detroit, continuing a partnership that began in 2019. CHMI was honored to be selected as one of Deloitte's national "Impact for 250" volunteer sites.

The team built new raised-bed gardens, cleaned and mulched existing spaces, painted motivational messages, and decorated inspiring rocks for our rock garden and fountain. Their work helped create an even more welcoming environment for the young people we serve.

A special thank you to Hannah Morrocco and Adrian Carrasco for helping organize the day.

About 50 of our residents came together for a movie night to remember at MJR Theatres Westland Cinema 16. They got the true VIP treatment, which included a private auditorium with fully-powered reclining seats, a super-sized screen, and Dolby Atmos sound. For many, the magic began at the concessions stand, where everyone was treated to fresh, hot popcorn and ice-cold pop.

At 8:00 p.m., the screen lit up with Michael, the new biopic highlighting the life and music of Michael Jackson. By the time the credits rolled and the bus departed, the atmosphere was filled with quiet reflection. It was a night of camaraderie that boosted everyone's spirits.

600 local business leaders. One conversation on impact that matters! Covenant House Michigan CEO Meagan Dunn joined the 2026 West Michigan CEO Summit, hosted by the Grand Rapids Chamber. The day brought together leaders from across the region for conversations on healthcare affordability, entrepreneurship, community investment, and leadership.

We are grateful to have been part of discussions on creating local impact that matters, and to connect with so many people committed to building a stronger West Michigan.

Three students from Forest Hills Central High School (Forest Hills Public Schools), Evan, Rita, and Disha, organized a fundraiser for Covenant House Grand Rapids through their Psychology Club. They led a can drive and encouraged fellow students to donate in support of youth experiencing homelessness.

Through their compassion and leadership, they raised $500 to support the young people we serve. We are so grateful for their kindness and commitment to making a difference in our community.

Confidence, skills, and community support. 🎤 Michelle Dunaway, host of FOX 17 Morning Mix, along with Savoix, generously developed and taught a four-week class for the youth at Covenant House Grand Rapids.

Their time, encouragement, and expertise created a meaningful experience that empowered our young people to build confidence, develop new skills, and feel supported by their community.

Bella served on our fund development team, while Rob and Keyla were on our programs team. Each of them brought energy, compassion, and dedication to our youth and our mission.
