Last week, the DHN team participated in an Emotional Intelligence training led by Stacy Sufka, CEO of .

As the Network Manager of the Detroit Housing Network, CHN Housing Partners works to connect Detroiters to housing services through a strong network of community partners.

From communication and self-awareness to teamwork and collaboration, the session provided valuable insights that will help us continue working together effectively in support of Detroit residents and communities.

Meet Chante Wiggins – the new External Affairs Project Manager for the Detroit Housing Network at CHN Housing Partners ! 💚

In her role, Chante will help build awareness of DHN's programs and services through community outreach, events, partnerships, and media relations, helping connect more Detroit residents to housing resources and opportunities.

"I'm most excited about spreading awareness about DHN to Detroit residents who may not know about the amazing programs and services available to them, while helping homeowners stay in their homes and achieve their housing goals," Chante shared.

Fun fact about Chante: She loves music and can play both the violin and piano. In her free time, she enjoys learning her favorite songs on each instrument.

Through her role, Chante hopes to build lasting relationships with organizations across Detroit that support DHN's mission of increasing housing stability and affordable homeownership for Detroit residents.

Apply for the City of Detroit’s HOPE Program and connect with housing resources and services available to support you and your family.

With it being National Homeownership Month, our Network Members are hosting several free workshops for Detroit residents this month. Take a look at what’s coming up!

MiSide, Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, Central Detroit Christian Community Development, Bridging Communities, Matrix Human Services, and Jefferson East, Inc. are offering Homebuyer Education Workshops from June 12 - 27 to help you navigate the homebuying process and understand down payment assistance programs.

If you’re looking to build generational wealth or want to learn more about credit building, join U-Snap-Bac, Bridging Communities, Central Detroit Christian Community Development, Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, and Matrix Human Services for Financial Wellness Workshops happening June 11 – 24.

Lastly, if you’re currently renting, we’ve got you covered. Our Renters Workshop are being hosted by Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency on June 16 and Matrix Human Services on June 17! They will walk you through your rights, responsibilities, and ways to protect your home.
