We are preparing for Black Art Library’s inaugural fundraiser celebrating our grand opening in just a few weeks! Join us for An Evening in Little Village on October 11, 2026. Our Evening in Little Village will begin with a preview of Black Art Library’s new space opening within the Cadillac Arts Centre then guests will head over to Father Forgive Me for a cocktail hour followed by a strolling dinner at Aleo that will include a few offerings from the Amend community garden to conclude the night. 

We have a very limited amount of tickets available for this landmark celebration! Tickets can be purchased through the link in our bio! If you cannot attend but would like to make a donation you can also find that link in the same place. We hope to see you there! ✨

“Certainly an Act: Works on Paper by Pope.L” is now open at the until September 27th. The show brings together more than 200 works-many never before publicly exhibited-ranging from the early 1980s to the artist’s final years. Drawn primarily from the artist’s estate, the exhibition also encompasses drawing-based films, writings, archival materials, and audio drawings.

In the gift shop you will find a reading room installation with 100 books from our collection!
