With profound sorrow, the Uniformed Firefighters Association announces the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Patrick Brady of Ladder 120.
Firefighter Brady, 42, faithfully served the Fire Department of the City of New York for 11 years. On Saturday, November 8th, while operating on the roof at a fire at 9407 Kings Highway in Brooklyn, Firefighter Brady went into cardiac arrest. Despite the immediate and valiant efforts of his fellow Firefighters and EMS members, he was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he tragically passed away.
Appointed on July 14, 2014, Firefighter Brady began his career at Engine 227 in Brooklyn before transferring to Ladder 120 in 2022.
He is the 1,163rd member of the FDNY to make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The thoughts and prayers of the entire UFA are with his family, friends, and all who served alongside him during this devastating loss. Funeral arrangements will be announced when available.
