🌟 Celebrating Our 2026 NJHS Inductees! 🌟

Pembroke Academy is proud to welcome our newest scholars into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) during our 2026 Induction Ceremony. NJHS is one of the highest honors for middle school students, recognizing excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. Our current NJHS members did a wonderful job helping welcome and celebrate our newest inductees.

A special thank you to our families who joined us to celebrate this important milestone, and a big shout-out to Middle School Dean Rachal Hetzel for leading this meaningful tradition each year in partnership with our NJHS Advisory Committee and faculty team.

🌟🎤 What an amazing night at Pembroke Academy’s First Annual Talent Show! 🎭✨

Our students lit up the stage with confidence, creativity, and incredible talent. From singing and dancing to comedy and special performances, every act was a reminder of the gifts our students bring to our school community each day.

A very special thank you to Mrs. Johnson for leading our entire show this year and another special thank you goes out to our families, staff, and supporters for helping make this event such a success. We are so proud of all of our performers for their courage and hard work. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!

New K-1st graders celebrated Earth Day planting seeds with Project Pick Up! 🌎 🌱 💙

Our incoming scholars learned that by planting flowers and seeds is a beautiful way to give back to our planet! Planting helps clean the air, supports bees and butterflies, and creates a healthier environment for everyone. It also teaches patience, responsibility, and the importance of caring for nature. Today’s small seeds will grow into tomorrow’s beauty!

We were honored to join the City of Detroit, local and state leaders, and our community in unveiling a secondary street sign for civil rights activist Viola Liuzzo at the corner of Pembroke and Mansfield. Liuzzo was a Detroit native and activist who was involved with the Civil Rights Movement. The integrity and compassion she embodied aligns with the Moral Focus virtues we teach every day.

Liuzzo's funeral was held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the same building our school calls home today. We are proud to connect our community with its rich history, and we're excited this honor will ensure Viola's legacy and impact live on!
