LGBT Detroit LGBT Detroit has been providing safe, brave spaces throughout southeast Michigan since 1994.

For over two decades, LGBT Detroit has been receiving unwavering support from neighboring communities in capacities that promotes well-being. LGBT Detroit supports a healthy environment conducive to lesbian, gay, bi and transgender individuals irrespective of race, culture or socio-economic status. The community support is manifested in advocating, partnership, testifying before local and state legislators, providing safe gathering spaces where members of the LGBT community can interact without fear of persecution or bigotry. Have you experienced violence (physical or verbal) from a loved one, friend or other community member? LGBT Detroit Healing and Support Services offers counseling for those who have experienced violent crime- domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking/harassment, hate crimes, human trafficking, etc. If you are in need of community resources or someone to talk to, reach out at (313)397-2127x101 or lgbtdetroit.org/gethelp.

With the November 2026 election approaching, this important conversation reminded us that our youth are not only the future, but powerful voices shaping our present. Their perspectives, participation, and votes matter now more than ever.

From strength training and mental health services to our Headbands & Spandex: ‘80s Workout Party and a special fitness collaboration with The Gentleman Network Detroit Chapter, there’s plenty happening to get you moving!
