‼️ ICYMI: The Detroit Department of Transportation hosted a public hearing last month to discuss proposed service changes that would take effect Monday, September 7, 2026.

πŸ“ The public can submit feedback about these changes! You have until this Friday, September 4, 2026, to leave a comment via email at [email protected], through U.S. Postal Mail to our 100 Mack Ave. office, or to our Customer Service Department at (313) 933-1300.

🚌 Proposed service changes include on-time performance improvements, span & frequency improvements on certain routes, and rerouting based on previous requests.

❗️ Beginning Thursday, September 3 at 7 p.m. through Tuesday, September 8 at 8 a.m., road closures on Jos. Campau between Caniff and Carpenter will be in place for the Hamtramck Labor Day Festival.

🚌 Reroutes are as follows:
➑️ 52-Chene Northbound: From Jos. Campau, to right on Caniff, to left on Conant, to left on Carpenter, to right on Jos. Campau, to continue as normal.
➑️ 52-Chene Southbound: From Jos. Campau, to left on Carpenter, to right on Conant, to right on Caniff, to left on Jos. Campau, to continue as normal.
➑️ 38-Plymouth Eastbound: From Caniff, to right on I-75 service drive, to left on Holbrook, to left onto Buffalo, to right on Evaline, to left on Alpena, to right on Caniff, to continue as normal.

πŸ“ DDOT is seeking individuals from these districts to join the Local Advisory Council (LAC) Board. The LAC serves as a foundation to improve transit services in the community for Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities, and to provide recommendations & input to transit advisors. Consider applying if you are interested! 🚌
