MDCR Division on Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing MDCR's Division on Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing supports effective communication for Michigan's deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing population.

Michigan Department of Civil Rights Division on Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing (DODDBHH) focuses on supporting effective communication for Michigan's deaf and hard of hearing population. The division receives input from a 13-member citizens Advisory Council appointed by the Governor, and provides technical support, information and referral, interpreter services and accommodations.

Join us for the Michigan Qualified Interpreter Program, Preparing for the BEI Basic Evaluation with Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs

This all-day workshop will begin with a brief overview of the BEI Basic test, including the test development process as well as expectations for the section, rater qualifications and the scoring process.

In the afternoon there will be opportunities for hands-on deliberate practice in both individual and group activities. Strategies to prepare for testing will be shared. For students, interns, pre-certified interpreters and others wanting to learn about the BEI Basic. Limit 30 participants.
