Derrick Hale(D) is running for Senate in August 2014. His platform includes the issues of Health Care, Breast and Cervical Cancer funding. He's addressing the matters of Road funding; especially Telegraph and Grand River Roads. Hale is working on grant funding for the River Rouge clean up project, supporting the Old Redford Theater, Educational funding and promoting the Safe Routes 2 Schools progr

am. Hale feels passionate about the DPS school system receiving the 3.4 million dollars to help our children succeed. The future senator wants to insure that all issues concerning Mental Health are addressed and explored.

It is with deep regret that I release this statement. Unfortunately, I will not be able to run as a senate candidate for the 2014 Primary Elections. At this time I must address a personal crisis which requires my immediate attention. This situation deems a lot of my time and effort. It is my request that everyone places me in their prayers as I endure my personal journey. When the time is right I will return to the political area. Again, I thank everyone for their support.
