Accessibility cannot be an afterthought in the future of AI.

This Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we’re thinking about the importance of accessibility remaining part of the future of technology and encouraged by Apple’s recent announcement around new accessibility features powered by Apple Intelligence, including updates focused on communication access, navigation, subtitles, and independent mobility.

For people with disabilities, older adults, veterans, and caregivers, these kinds of tools can make everyday life more accessible and independent.

Technology has the power to expand opportunity when accessibility is built in from the start and shaped alongside disability communities.
