✈️ It was an incredible summer of travel for Saber Nation, as staff, students, and alumni had the opportunity to visit Iceland! We’re excited to share a few photos from their adventure, which ended with a relaxing soak in the legendary Blue Lagoon. A couple of familiar faces even took advantage of some of the skincare products Iceland is famous for!

Now, they are looking ahead to the next destination — and there’s a big change to announce. The next trip will take travelers to the Yucatán in beautiful Mexico during Spring Break 2028!

This 8-day tour will visit Cancún, Valladolid, Mérida, and Playa del Carmen, along with the ancient archaeological sites of Ek-Balam, Chichén Itzá, Cobá, and Tulum. Travelers will also have opportunities for biking, snorkeling, kayaking, and even swimming in a legendary cenote. And, of course, there will be LOTS of beach time without the usual summer heat! ☀️

📅 A traveler meeting for students, staff, and community members will be held Monday, August 31, at 6 p.m. in the Middle School library.

Travelers who register for the tour before September 1 can receive $200 off the tour price!

🌎 The Trip ID for this tour is Mercado-6388 which should allow you to sign up for the tour at https://program.worldstrides.com; or you can go directly to https://program.worldstrides.com/Mercado-6388.

The full tour itinerary can be found here: https://bit.ly/4gnXJMv

Questions? Contact Mr. Mercado at [email protected], and plan to attend the meeting Monday evening to learn more.

It’s sure to be an incredible journey and you should consider joining the adventure!

There’s a place for you at Central DeWitt! 💜💛

At Central DeWitt, we believe our schools are stronger when parents, guardians and community members are involved. Volunteering is a great way to support our students, strengthen our school community and play a part in creating a positive experience for all.

Whether you’re helping with an activity, supporting a classroom, spending time with students or lending a hand at a school event, your time and talents can make a difference. Volunteering is also a great way to connect with teachers and staff, learn more about our schools and be part of the experiences that make Central DeWitt special.

HERE WE GO, SABERS! 💜💛

The first day of school is TOMORROW, and we can’t wait! As we kick off a new school year, one of the best ways families can support student success is by making regular school attendance a priority.

Every day in the classroom is an opportunity to learn, connect with teachers and classmates, and be part of the school experience. We understand that illnesses and other circumstances happen, but consistent attendance can make a big difference in a student’s success throughout the year.

If your child needs to miss school, please contact your child’s school office before 8 a.m. to report the absence.

We’re excited for a great year ahead and can’t wait to see our Sabers back in the classroom! Let’s make it a great one! 🐾💜💛

08/23/2026

With the first day of school just one day away, we want to wish our newest employees all the best as they begin this new chapter! 💜💛

Thank you for choosing Central DeWitt and for bringing your talents, experience and passion to our Saber team. We’re so glad you’re here and excited for all that this school year will bring. Welcome to Central DeWitt! 🐾
