🚒 HONORING 50 YEARS OF SERVICE! 🚒

Dexter Fire and Rescue invites you to join us for a special Retirement Reception honoring Rick Marsh, former Fire Chief and Assistant Chief, as we celebrate his incredible 50 years of dedicated service to our department and community!

For five decades, Rick has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to protecting our community, serving his neighbors, and helping shape Dexter Fire and Rescue into the department it is today.

50 years of service. Countless lives impacted. A legacy that will last for generations.

We invite fellow firefighters, friends, family, and community members to stop by, share memories, and help us thank Rick for his years of leadership, sacrifice, and dedication.

❤️🚒 Thank you, Rick, for everything you’ve done for Dexter Fire and Rescue and the community we proudly serve!

While the fields may be muddy, the crops have been able to dry with the warm temperatures and sunny skies today. Warm, dry, and windy conditions are expected tomorrow, meaning fires could spread easily. Use caution while harvesting this weekend and take a fire extinguisher with you.

Like all small communities we have to be there for one another a little more. Our goal with hosting a food drive is to support our local food pantry and to help pull all of us together.

The last time we did a food drive we were able to fill two trucks. We want to try to fill a third this year. If you are able to spare things it really is appreciated.

Help us by minimizing a stress for some as we come into the holiday season!

🚨 Not everything you see or hear during an emergency is accurate.

When an emergency happens, information can spread quickly through social media, text messages, group chats, and word of mouth. While sharing information can help keep people informed, sharing information that hasn’t been verified can create confusion, spread fear, and make it harder for people to know what to do.

Before you share:
🔎 Verify the source — Is the information coming from a trusted, official source?
📢 Look for official updates — Check emergency management, government agencies, and other reliable sources.
⏸️ Think before you share — If you can’t confirm it, don’t pass it along.
✅ Share confirmed information — Help your friends, family, and neighbors stay informed with accurate information.

When emergencies happen, pause, check, and share responsibly. 🛑📱
