This is just the tip of the iceberg. I don't understand why Democrats are so opposed to reigning in corruption, as with the DOGE program. These are taxpayer dollars going toward corruption, and just like with illegal immigrant criminals, Democrats defend them.

I see Congressman Mike Ezell touting his Trump endorsement. I have always been a Trump, America First, and MAGA supporter, but Trump has endorsed every incumbent in the state. He even endorsed corrupt Steven Palazzo last time. The leadership swamp pushed these endorsements on Trump because the incumbents are already bought and paid for, so they do what they are told by the swamp leadership. Endorsing incumbents without ever meeting or talking to the challengers should show voters that endorsements are a business decision and a political decision. We have great candidates, and voters need to choose the best one on merit, not because someone told you to. Do your own research and do not let people outside Mississippi make your choice for you. Make Mississippi Great Again.

The national debt has topped 38 trillion dollars! The debt has gone up 7 trillion dollars since our Congressman Mike Ezell was elected. I guess voting for continuing resolutions and debt ceiling increases are part of his balancing the budget promises. Typical politician - say whatever is needed to win, and then sell your soul to the swamp to win elections.

This is a great article to understand how our government doesn't work. Lobbyists and special interests write bills, then give them to members to sponsor or co-sponsor in Congress. The same people fill the campaign coffers of members. Then the members come home and brag about bills they have no idea what's in them or how they affect their constituents. This is both state and federal. Go check out members' campaign filings to see who owns your member.

Most of us probably think the people we elect to Congress are the ones who write the bills that become laws. Oh, if only it were that simple...

Mike Hurst, this legislative session put a copy of the Mississippi Republican Platform on the desks of all Republican members of the House and Senate. I guess Mike, like me and realizes most members aren't aware of what is in the platform. Last week I heard one of the most important announcements in Republican politics in years. The MSGOP will start vetting candidates running as Republicans. They will also keep tabs on elected officials to make sure they vote and support the Republican platform. I think this would be the greatest achievement yet in our party, being we are inundated with RINOS. Unfortunately I believe this will be an uphill battle for Mike. Incumbents in office now, state and federal elected officials will fight the MSGOP on this. With our members having such low conservative ratings I'm pretty sure they will put an end to this quickly before people find out we are a purple state and not a red one.

Politics as usual. Vote against a CR when a Democrat is in charge and vote for it when Republicans are in charge. Almost all members are hypocrites. Congressman Mike Ezell voted against around four CR's when Biden was president, stating we have to stop spending like drunken sailors. Now Ezell has voted twice for CR's since Trump became president. Did Congress quit spending?

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene opposes the House Republican plan to fund the government, citing it as maintaining "Biden policy laden" spending.
