Our Dems will have a booth at the Pioneer Days this Saturday September 5th. There will be 61 vendors, food trucks and lots going on. The event starts at 9 am and runs into the evening on Sat and some on Sunday. We will have lawn signs. Gosh, one thing will help is to get the signs out on lawns in numbers like Josh Evans has his signs all over the hills. Help us on that if you can, please. We will have some free stuff to give away.

We will be tabling tomorrow Friday near the Clintwood Post Office. We have some Joy Powers lawn signs and a few Proud Democrat signs. Planning on tabling from about 11am to 1pm. Come join us and talk to folks about voting for Joy. Expecting right many signs and material to come in next week and to table in town of Haysi near that Post Office

Morgan has to at last located the District he is supposed to represent. No caucus or town halls with us but plenty with wealthy others -- like the Wales caucus. He has no accomplishments to report.

As typical, he is taking all credit for taxpayer dollars as he announces a few grants of a million or so while his vote for the bad budget bill tax cuts that transfers $1,500,000,000,000 to the very wealthy. The largest transfer of wealth in the history of our nation.

He gets photos of him at an egg factory so the work and jobs there might seem he had something to do with it. So look for him to get pictures with miners where he pretends to support them but supports mine safety rollbacks on air quality and silica.

Half of the 12 or 13 rural hospitals at risk of closing are in CD 9 . At risk because of the $1.2 trillion cut to Medicaid and CHIP and the $500 billion hidden cuts to Medicare he voted for. Medicare is not a benefit program. Workers pay into it. I have been told by someone with connections that Medicaid and Medicare account for 70 % of the income of rural hospitals around here.

The severe cuts in Medicaid will come into effect in Jan.-- after the Nov. 3rd Election Day. Lots of jobs will be lost. He kept his mouth shut when the 2 million dollar grant that was approved for the Resilience HUB in Haysi was stopped. No. He gives money to DELTA LAB over in Wise County to help bring in big data centers and energy from SMnRs and /or polluting gas that about all the folks there left or right oppose for many reasons.

A new MIT study titled, Your Brain on ChatGPT: Accumulation of Cognitive Debt when Using an AI Assistant for Essay Writing Task, has found that using ChatGPT to help write essays leads to long-term cognitive harm—measurable through EEG brain scans. Students who repeatedly relied on ChatGPT showed weakened neural connectivity, impaired memory recall, and diminished sense of ownership over their own writing. While the AI-generated content often scored well, the brains behind it were shutting down.

This is not a drill. Check out the decision the 6 SCOTUS Justices just ruled ...apparently letting Trump have enough say on mail-in voting that the DOJ and the postal service will enforce it. The Constitution gives the powers on voting to the states and clearly not to a President.
Most states will fight this but we are getting about 70 days away from the election. So it looks like voting in person will work best and help people get to the polls. The 6 SCOTUS Justices continue to aid and abet the convicted felon President as he continues rip down every safeguard and protection we have and pardon the highest defrauders and criminals the nation has seen. Even the triple ax murderer who killed in Spain and was tried and sentenced in another country Venezuela where he held citizenship.

I hope everyone reading this decides to engage more and fight what is going on in our country. Talking to people and informing them matters. Half the country doesn't know what has gone on and what's to come in 2027.

We have to get the Great Pretender Morgan out of office and Joy in. Morgan makes like he works for the miners but his every vote is against their interests. His every vote is for big corporations and billionaires. What has he done to bring jobs here. The glove factory never made one glove.

Nightly legacy news has become more like a flash over of the weather--the flooding and fires and major accidents around the country. No mention FEMA is not longer funded enough to significantly help in disasters or be on the scene .

Half the country is at the mercy of wildfires, floods. the heat... ICE got the FEMA money. Trump and billionaires ripped out investing in mitigating the Climate Crisis. Knocking out vaccines, food safety, protecting endangered species. Knocking out our allies too and favoring North Korea over South Korea. Sabotage is the word for Trump, Robert Mengele Kennedy, Hegeseth...bring our country down ....
Yes and I know you and I have at least one relative who doesn't want to know any of this.
