Emergency Preparedness and Response (SWDHU) Planning, preparedness and response for public health emergencies, public education and partnerships for enhanced regional response plans and capabilities.

Preparedness and Response to:
*Biological Agents including anthrax, smallpox, plague, and botulism.
*Chemical Agents including nerve agents, suffocating agents, blister agents, and anhydrous ammonia.
*Natural Disasters including fire, storms, floods, and preparing readiness kits.
*Zoonotic Diseases including rabies, hantavirus, West Nile virus, and monkey pox. Coordinates the Public Health Emergen

cy Volunteer Reserve (PHEVR):
*PHEVR provides medical and non-medical personnel in assistance in a public health emergency through an integrated system of identification, recruitment, and training.
