Several months ago the Dickson Firefighters Association was made aware of a local 3 year old boy who was battling Leukemia. Eager to help, we organized a charity golf tournament to assist with the costs of care and treatment for this brave little boy. Yesterday we were lucky enough to receive a visit from our new friend, Hudson, and his family at the fire station. Hudson brought a smile and many laughs to all of us as he and his brother, Palmer, sprayed water from a fire hose, climbed in and out of the fire trucks, and learned to use the lights and sirens. We are so happy to hear that he is currently cancer free and we look forward to many more visits from him!

Whether we are on duty at the fire station or volunteering in the community, we take great pride in serving the residents of Dickson. Please keep an eye out for future events and help spread the word so that we can continue to help individuals, families, and groups in our community like Hudson!

Hello everyone! We are pleased to announce that we are hosting a golf tournament on October 5th! While we have hosted golf tournaments in the past, we have plans to make this an annual event in which we donate a portion of the proceeds to a charity or worthy cause. This year we will be making a donation to a local family whose youngest member, a brave 3 year old boy, is currently fighting leukemia. All information is posted in the picture below. If you are available, please come out and help us support one of our fellow Dickson families. If you are not available to play but would like to donate, don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our event organizers at the bottom of the flyer. We are also looking for businesses to sponsor holes. Good morning! The Dickson Firefighters Association is out doing our annual “Fill the Boot” fundraiser this weekend! The International Association of Firefighters has a longstanding partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association that began 71 years ago. Over the years, members of the IAFF have been able to raise over $710 million! All proceeds go to the MDA for research, care, and treatment. If you’ve got some shopping to do, come see us at Walmart in Dickson! We will be out Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!

We had great weather and an even better turnout from all the teams that showed up today to help support Dickson Firefighters Association Local 3145 in raising food for the Dickson County Help Center. We collected around a thousand cans of food. Thank you to everyone that came out today. You're greatly appreciated.
