Our Chaplain Matthew Hiatt brought breakfast and shared how grateful and appreciative we are for their dedication, service, and the important work they do every day with the students and staff at our schools.

Our SROs are a valued asset to our department and our community.

The City of Dickson is taking another important step toward enhancing public safety. Under the leadership of Chief Seth Lyles, the City of Dickson Police Department has purchased Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to be placed in the new patrol vehicles throughout the city.
This investment is about giving our officers the tools they need to provide immediate life-saving care when seconds matter most. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere and at any time, and survival rates increase significantly when defibrillation is provided quickly. By equipping patrol units with AEDs, officers may be able to begin critical intervention before EMS arrives, potentially making the difference between life and death.
Chief Lyles recognized the value of ensuring that first responders have rapid access to this essential equipment while serving the citizens of Dickson. With officers already patrolling neighborhoods, responding to calls, and often arriving on scene first, these AEDs will provide an additional layer of emergency care for our community.
"This investment reflects our commitment to protecting and serving the people of Dickson," said Chief Lyles. "By placing AEDs in our patrol units, we are increasing our ability to respond to medical emergencies and improving the chances of survival for those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest."
The City of Dickson Police Department remains dedicated to finding innovative ways to enhance public safety and improve outcomes for citizens in times of crisis. The addition of AEDs to patrol vehicles is another example of that commitment in action.
