Happy Labor Day from the City of Dickson! City offices will be closed in observance of the holiday and will reopen Tuesday.

🗑️ Sanitation services will resume Tuesday. Monday pickup customers should have carts at the curb by 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, as crews will be collecting both Monday and Tuesday routes.

🚧 Exciting things are happening in Downtown Dickson!

This ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter for historic downtown Dickson. The public is invited to attend and celebrate this exciting milestone with us!

🚦Heads up, Dickson!🚦

Effective 9/11/2026: The city is implementing a change at the intersection of W. Walnut Street and S. Main Street.

The traffic light will be switched to flashing red lights, and the intersection will operate as a 3-way stop for 90 days. The traffic light will flash red in all directions. Drivers will need to treat the intersection as a three-way stop. After the 90 days, the traffic and safety data will be evaluated to confirm if the traffic light can be removed permanently.

A flashing red light works the same as a three-way stop.

Please be careful and watch for the new traffic signs while everyone gets used to the change. Questions? Call City Hall at 615-441-9508.
