A child car seat manufacturer has voluntarily recalled 114,660 of its infant car seats after learning the carry handle could detach, causing a fall hazard when a baby is strapped inside.
The affected models include the Britax B-Safe Gen 2, Britax B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit, Britax B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit Plus, Britax B-Safe 35, Britax B-Safe Ultra and Britax Endeavours.
The recalled car seats were manufactured by Britax between Aug. 17, 2020, and May 16, 2023. The company has stated that all owners who have registered their car seats will be contacted by Oct. 19 about the recall and remedy kit.
Parents can find their car seat’s model number and product name on the white label sticker, usually located on the back or underside of the car seat shell.
