The Town of Dighton is seeking qualified applicants to join the Highway Department as an Operator Class I. Applicants must have a valid unrestricted CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement, as well as Hoisting Engineer License 2B, to be considered for employment. High School Diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of construction practices is required.
Duties include operation of all highway department equipment including pickup trucks, dump trucks, compactors, lawn mowers and snow blowers; roadway maintenance/repair, stormwater system maintenance and routine maintenance of grounds and facilities. Will be required to participate in all snow and ice removal operations and other emergencies as they arise and overtime as required.
Pre-employment physical and drug testing is required, as well as a CORI check.
