Viesca Sisters Medal at Medina Valley!
Great day for Dilley XC at the Medina Valley Invitational! Our athletes battled through a humid morning and a difficult course, and still competed hard from start to finish.
Varsity Boys: Owen Surles paced the group, followed by Ram Ochoa, Ethan Hernandez, Zaydrian Sauceda, and Shawn Rodriguez. The boys fought through a tough course and continued to gain valuable race experience.
Varsity Girls: Harvest Viesca led the way with a 13th place finish, earning a medal in a strong varsity field. Danica Hernandez, Jaelyn Rodriguez, and Larayna Sauceda also competed well despite the difficult conditions.
JV Boys: Juan Rodriguez paced the JV boys, followed by Guadalupe Rodriguez and Hector Acosta. All three continued to show toughness and growth.
JV Girls: Janae Garcia led the JV girls, with Aubrey Garcia also putting together a solid race.
For the MHMS Pups, this was their first race of the season, and they gave us a lot to be excited about moving forward.
8th Grade Girls: Jenyka Galindo paced the group, followed by Llyana Navarro, Zaverie Medina, and Layla Ruiz. A solid first race of the year for this group on a tough course.
8th Grade Boys (not pictured): Julien Aguilar led the way, followed by Angel Trevino, Sebastian Sambrano, and Jake Davalos. Another strong first outing for the Pups.
7th Grade Girls: River Viesca had a huge first race, finishing 1st place overall in the combined 7th and 8th grade girls race! Kaitlyn Lopez, Jaelyn Hernandez, Ariana Yanez, and Gabriella Osio also competed well in their first meet of the season.
Proud of the way our Wolves and MHMS Pups competed today. It was a tough, humid morning, but they stayed after it and represented Dilley well!!
