Our Mrs. Susie's Cooking Squad workshop was a huge success! 🍝👩‍🍳

Eight 4-H members spent the day in the kitchen learning cooking tips and tricks from the one and only Mrs. Susie Lee. Together they prepared spaghetti, garlic bread, Caesar salad, and tiramisu for dessert. Everyone had a great time building new kitchen skills while creating a delicious meal from start to finish!

A very special thank you to Mrs. Susie for sharing her time, talents, and passion for cooking with our 4-H youth. She is such an incredible asset to our Dillon County 4-H program, and we are so grateful for her dedication to teaching the next generation confidence and creativity in the kitchen.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Emily Long for assisting throughout the workshop. As always, she was a tremendous help, and we truly appreciate her willingness to support our 4-H programs.

We can't wait to get this amazing group back together for more cooking adventures! 💚🍽️

🎅🏝️Christmas came early at Dillon County 4-H during our Christmas in July Workshop!

Our youth had a wonderful time sewing their own Christmas stockings, painting seashell ornaments, building snowman traps, creating Grinch kabobs, competing in reindeer games, and cooling off with an indoor snowball fight. We cranked up the Christmas music, embraced the holiday spirit, and pretended the July heat was a little more like December!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers—Mrs. Janet Holder, Emily Long, Terrie Curtis, and Peggy Gardner—for sharing your time and talents to make this workshop such a success. We couldn't have done it without you!

🌱 Congratulations to Our Dillon County 4-H Small Garden Project Winners! 🌱

Congratulations to our Cloverbud Individual Winner, Zolie Ann Ray! Zolie Ann grew a beautiful, healthy garden filled with a variety of vegetables, including her favorite—cucumbers!

Our Cloverbud Group Winner is Bryant and Harper Huggins! Their raised-bed garden produced an impressive assortment of vegetables, including delicious cherry tomatoes. They also included a pollinator garden to help support bees and butterflies.

We are so proud of these young gardeners for their hard work and dedication. We can't wait to see what they grow next year! 🌻🍅🥒

What a great afternoon with our 4-H Fishing Club this past Saturday at Huggins Pond in Lake View!

A huge thank you to the Huggins family for welcoming us back to their beautiful pond. Our members enjoyed an afternoon filled with fishing, fellowship, and plenty of fun. Congratulations to Logan Spivey for catching the first fish of the day and to Weston Covington for reeling in the largest fish!

We were also excited to welcome a special surprise guest, Mr. Billy, who founded our fishing club more than five years ago. It was wonderful to spend time with him and reflect on how much the club has grown over the years.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the Johnson family for choosing Dillon County 4-H as the memorial recipient in honor of their father and husband, Mr. David Johnson. Through donations raised, we were able to purchase bait and prizes for our fishing club. We look forward to providing many more outdoor learning experiences for our youth in Mr. David's memory.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this fishing day such a success. We can't wait until our next trip! 🍀♥️🎣

What a fantastic day at our 4-H Carolina S**g Camp! 💃🕺
Our youth had an amazing time learning the basics of South Carolina's official state dance, the Carolina S**g. A huge thank you to Jodie Branham for leading our camp and sharing her tips, tricks, and passion for s**g dancing with our participants. We appreciate her willingness to invest her time and talents in our youth!

We would also like to thank our wonderful volunteers, Ms. Za'Bajhia, Mrs. Emily, and T., for helping throughout the day. Programs like this would not be possible without the support of dedicated volunteers who are always willing to lend a hand. We are so grateful for each of you!

🎵 Fun Fact: The Carolina S**g became South Carolina's official state dance in 1984! The dance originated along the beaches of the Carolinas and remains an important part of our state's culture and heritage. It's exciting to see the next generation learning and keeping this tradition alive!

Thank you to all of our campers for bringing your energy, enthusiasm, and dancing shoes. We had a blast and hope you did too! ❤️🍍🌴

On Saturday, our 4-H Shooting Sports Club held our annual end-of-year cookout, and we had a wonderful turnout! Our youth members even managed to squeeze in some practice time between much-needed rain showers.

We cannot thank our devoted parents and club leaders enough for the time, support, and dedication they pour into this program. Because of caring adults like you, we are helping raise the next generation of outdoorsmen while building confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills that will brighten their futures for years to come.

A special thank you to the Dillon County Rifle and Gun Club for allowing our club to practice at your facility. We truly appreciate your continued support and your commitment to investing in the youth of Dillon County through 4-H.
