Se espera que altas temperaturas afecten el centro de California este fin de semana, superando ampliamente los 100°F (aprox. 38°C). El Departamento de Bomberos de Dinuba insta a todos los residentes a tomar las precauciones necesarias para proteger su seguridad. El calor es la principal causa de muertes relacionadas con el clima en los Estados Unidos cada año. Aquí tiene algunos consejos de seguridad para combatir el calor:

High temperatures are expected to impact Central California this weekend, bringing temperatures well above 100°F. Dinuba Fire Department urges all residents to take necessary precautions to stay safe.

Heat is the leading cause of weather-related fatalities in the U.S. each year.

Here are some Safety Tips to Beat the Heat:
Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
Stay Cool – Use air conditioning or find a cool location.
Dress Appropriately – Wear lightweight, light-colored, and loose-fitting clothing.
Limit Sun Exposure – Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
Check on Vulnerable Individuals – Especially elderly family members, neighbors, and those with health conditions.
Never Leave Children or Pets in Vehicles – Even a few minutes can be fatal.

Please know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, which can escalate quickly. If you see someone experiencing symptoms, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Over the holiday weekend, the Dinuba Fire Department and Dinuba Police Department continued their joint fireworks enforcement efforts to help keep our community safe.

As a result of proactive enforcement, 26 administrative citations were issued for illegal fireworks over the holiday weekend and approximately 84 pounds of fireworks were confiscated. Fire personnel also responded to 8 fires believed to be caused by fireworks. These incidents placed lives, property, and emergency responders at risk and serve as a reminder of the dangers associated with illegal fireworks with hot and dry weather.

We appreciate the community members who reported illegal fireworks and supported our enforcement efforts..
