T shirts, Helmet Shields, and gift cards can’t cover the importance and value you all bring to our organization. From the Disputanta Volunteer Fire Department- thank you for everything you all do and continue to do.

Burning the Bottle

Members from Company 1 and Company 2 came together for a quick air management drill last night for our weekly training.

Simple, effective, great way to get a sweat on while developing our basic skills. Understanding performance and stress management in a non stop physical environment prepares our volunteers for game day

Members ran this evolution multiple times until completely out of air. Building confidence in our self contained breathing apparatus’.

Today, our EMT-B Class were tested on their psychomotor skills and assessments.

We are happy to announce that all Prince George Fire EMT students successfully completed this portion of state testing!

Now, students will study and begin preparation for the National Registry EMT exam!

Every single member in this picture has attended evening and weekend classes over the last 3 months of their lives completely for free!

Outstanding job to every provider in PGFEMS that assisted and mentored these students, Captain Inge who logistically coordinated the class, and especially our instructor Timothy Swann of First Response Training! None of this would have been possible without you all.

Did you know Prince George County Fire and EMS is hosting an EMT- B class at station 2?

Over the past 3 months, thanks to the cooperation and administrative support of Chief Caceres and Captain Inge, our members have been receiving vital emergency medical services training to serve our community.

Below are some pictures of our members not only having. A good time and enjoying the best job in the world, but learning and dialing in on what it takes to truly save lives. Along with regular weekly in service trainings, all while working full time jobs!

-DVFD has always been committed to serving our community by adapting and training to the ever so developing need for service within our community.

- First in 1986 when we first began providing vehicle extrication services along with the Prince George emergency crew. DVFD paved the path into the development of the Crater Regional Technical Rescue Team as well as the extrication response models and operations we use to this present day!

- Now, members are continuing the push to keep up with your needs by enhancing and developing their skills to respond to your emergency.

We’re always accepting applications! Want to be apart of a growing and developing organization ? Want to receive free training while responding to emergencies across Prince George County? Stop in any Monday night to ask questions or even start the application process!
